The GEOINT Professional Certification Aeronautical (GPC AA-II) is an intermediate-level Aeronautical imagery credential. The aim of the GCP is to define the common set of competencies across the National Systems of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and is an essential element of the overall development of GEOINT professionals. The GPC AA -II is designed to demonstrate ability, along a scale of proficiency, within the topical area of GEOINT Aeronautical facts, concepts, and principles deemed critical by experts to the successful execution of GEOINT mission functions. The development of the GPC is part of a larger USD(I) Initiative to professionalize the Defense Intelligence Enterprise Workforce. The GPC will ensure that credentialed GEOINT practitioners are certified to have demonstrated proficiency in a common set of competencies. This certification process facilitates advancement of professional development and training standards, promotes better synchronization, and aligns individual capabilities within the DOD intelligence enterprise through transportable credentials.

Renewal Period: 3 years

The Certified Quality Auditor is a professional who understands the standards and principles of auditing and the auditing techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting to determine a quality systems adequacy and deficiencies. The Certified Quality Auditor analyzes all elements of a quality system and judges its degree of adherence to the criteria of industrial management and quality evaluation and control systems. Candidates must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Quality Auditor Body of Knowledge. A minimum of three years of this experience must be in a decision-making position. Education can be used as a substitute for years of experience. Candidates must also pass a written examination.

The Certified Quality Engineer is a professional who understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. This body of knowledge and applied technologies include, but are not limited to, development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices, an understanding of human factors and motivation, familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques, and the knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems and to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Candidates must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge, and a minimum of three years of this experience must be in a decision-making position. Education can be used as a substitute for years of experience. Candidates must also pass a written examination.

The Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is a professional who leads and champions process-improvement initiatives everywhere from small businesses to multinational corporations that can have regional or global focus in a variety of service and industrial settings. A CMQ/OE facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helps develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement. The CMQ/OE should be able to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects and human resources, analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges. Candidate must have ten years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the CMQ/OE Body of Knowledge. A minimum of five years of this experience must be in a decision-making position. Candidate must pass a written examination.

Professional Engineer License. As a P.E., you would be able to perform certain tasks, such as stamp and seal designs, bid for government contracts, be principal of a firm, perform consulting services, and offer services to the public. While each state licensing board has its own laws regarding engineering licensure, there is a general four-step process for licensure candidates: earn a degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program; pass the FE exam; gain acceptable work experience (typically a minimum of four years); and pass the PE exam in the appropriate discipline. The PE exam tests your ability to practice competently in a particular engineering discipline. It is designed for engineers who have gained at least four years# post-college work experience in their chosen engineering discipline.
