ASNT NDT Level III Certification - Leak Testing (LT)
Credential: ASNT NDT Level III Certification - Leak Testing (LT)
Credentialing Agency: American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT)
Renewal Period: 5 years
The ASNT NDT Level III program provides third-party certification for nondestructive testing (NDT) personnel whose specific jobs require knowledge of the technical principles underlying the nondestructive tests they perform, witness, monitor or evaluate. Leak Testing (LT) is used to detect through leaks using one of the four major LT techniques: Bubble, Pressure Change, Halogen Diode and Mass Spectrometer Testing. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in an assignment at least comparable to that of a Level II in Leak Testing. ASNT NDT Level III certification candidates are required to pass both the NDT Basic and a method examination in order to receive the ASNT NDT Level III certificate.
More information can be found on the certifying agency's website.
