The Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is a professional who leads and champions process-improvement initiatives everywhere from small businesses to multinational corporations that can have regional or global focus in a variety of service and industrial settings. A CMQ/OE facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helps develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement. The CMQ/OE should be able to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects and human resources, analyze financial situations, determine and evaluate risk and employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges. Candidate must have ten years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the CMQ/OE Body of Knowledge. A minimum of five years of this experience must be in a decision-making position. Candidate must pass a written examination.

The Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) is an entry-level to mid-level professional certification recommended for government financial managers. The CGFM certifies an individual’s knowledge of governmental accounting, auditing, financial reporting, internal controls and budgeting at the federal, state and local levels. CGFM candidates must have at least two years of professional-level experience in government financial management. To take any of the CGFM examinations, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Candidates and those certified agree to adhere to the AGA's Code of Ethics.

Candidates should have knowledge in areas including, Business Management, Talent Planning and Acquisition, Total Rewards, Employee and Labor Relations, and Learning and Development. Candidates must meet experience and/or education requirements and pass a written examination.

The SPHR is designed for the HR professional who plans, rather than implements, HR policy, and has ultimate accountability in the HR department, breadth and depth of knowledge in all HR disciplines and understands the business beyond the HR function and influences the overall organization. Candidates should have knowledge in areas including, Business Management and Strategy, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Compensation & Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations, and Risk Management. Candidates must meet experience and/or education requirements and pass a written examination.

Renewal Period: 1 year

The Certified Manager (CM) is a general management certification. It is appropriate for supervisors, managers and leaders at all levels, in any industry, and benefits certificate recipients and their organizations. The CM program consists of 3 course modules of which each includes a study manual, online learning resources, practice exams and a certification exam. To earn the CM certification one must pass three certification exams. Successful completion of the CM exams is a reliable indicator that an individual possesses the skills that leaders and managers need. Eligibility for the CM certification is determined by a point system that considers both experience and education. A candidate must have at least 10 points including at least 3 Education points, and at least 4 Experience points. Candidates may count a maximum of 6 Education points and 7 Experience Points toward eligibility. Those who do not qualify for CM status may still participate in the CM program if they have met at least one of the minimum eligibility requirements. These individuals will earn Associate Certified Manager (ACM) status upon completion of the program. An ACM may earn full CM status through additional education and/or experience.

Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) candidates must be knowledgeable of the competencies in the Contract Management Body of Knowledge and demonstrate that they have met NCMA's highest standards for education, training, and experience. Candidates must have a degree from a regionally or DETC accredited institution at the bachelor's level, five years of experience, and 120 hours of continuing professional education. To earn the CPCM, a candidate must take and pass the Certified Professional Contracts Manager module exam.

The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) is for individuals who demonstrate proficiency in the core aspects of defense financial management. The CDFM certification directly relates to the work done by Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Managers and the knowledge and skills the DoD would like all Financial Managers to have. To earn the CDFM certification, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of defense-related financial management experience or an associate's degree or higher and either two years of defense-related financial management experience or four years of Federal Government-related financial management experience. Candidates must pass a written exam.

The National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification is for contracting professionals in both the public and private sectors who deal extensively with federal contracts and have a minimum of one year of experience. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, one year of experience, and 80 hours of continuing professional education to be eligible for the CFCM certification. Candidates lacking the degree requirement who have 10 years of verifiable contract management experience may apply for a degree waiver.  To earn the CFCM certification, a candidate must pay the applicable fees and pass an exam.

Certified Performance Technologist (CPT). This certification recognizes professionals who have demonstrated the ability to use a systematic process to add value and produce measurable results while collaborating with stakeholders and working within the constraints of an organization. The eligibility requirements to apply for certification include a minimum of three years of experience in performance improvement or a related field, and a detailed description of work performed in multiple projects in a manner that demonstrates the use of each of the certifying agency's standards with attestations from internal/external clients or supervisors. All candidates for the certification must commit to the Code of Ethics. Once certified, performance improvement professionals must apply for re-certification every three years to maintain the CPT designation.

The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) is an intermediate-level credential for HR professionals whose work responsibilities span international boundaries. The GPHR exam is a global, competency-based assessment designed to measure the skills and knowledge of an HR professional who operates in a global marketplace. The GPHR credential is recommended for professionals whose HR responsibilities include developing HR policies and initiatives that support organizational global growth and employer retention, and creating organizational programs, utilizing tools and designing processes that achieve worldwide business goals. Candidates must have two years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with a master's degree or higher; or three years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with a bachelor's degree; or four years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with less than a bachelor’s degree. Candidates must also pass an examination.

The National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM) certification is for contracting professionals who have education, training, and knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, and a minimum of 1 year of experience. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 80 hours of continuing professional education (CPE). Non-degreed applicants with 10 years of experience may apply for a degree waiver. Applicants must pass a written exam.

The Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) Strategic Planning Professional Level I certification is for candidates that wish to bring together the latest strategic thinking concepts, strategic planning techniques and Balanced Scorecard best-practices. Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy. It may also extend to control mechanisms for guiding the implementation of the strategy. Candidates must be a college graduate or have or 5 years' work experience in strategic planning or related field with a minimum of 2 years in an internal planning role or as a junior external planning consultant.

The Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) Strategic Management Professional Level II certification is for candidates who manage and use a comprehensive collection of ongoing activities and processes that organizations use to systematically coordinate and align resources and actions with mission, vision and strategy throughout an organization. Strategic management activities transform the static plan into a system that provides strategic performance feedback to decision making and enables the plan to evolve and grow as requirements and other circumstances change. Candidates must be a college graduate or have or 10 years' work experience in strategic planning or related field with a minimum of 5 as an experienced internal Executive or external Consultant leading multiple Strategic Planning assignments. Candidates must also hold a Strategic Planning Professional certification or meets all of its requirements.

Candidates must meet minimum experiential and educational requirements. INFORMS, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification advances the use of analytics by setting agreed upon standards for the profession and advances the profession by providing a means for organizations to identify and develop qualified analytics professionals, by contributing to the career success and continued competence for analytics professionals, and by improving the credibility and visibility of the analytics profession. The CAP examination measures acceptable performance across seven major areas or domains of practice that adhere to the analytics end-to-end process: business problem framing, analytics problem framing, data, methodology selection, model building, deployment, and model life cycle management. Candidates must have a minimum of a BA/BS degree and at least 7 years of professional analytics related experience.
