The Project Management Institute (PMI), Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) is an intermediate level credential for project schedulers. Candidates for the SP credential have advanced knowledge and experience developing, managing and maintaining project schedules. Education/Training and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Secondary diploma (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent).
- Experience totaling at least 5,000 hours spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years.
- At least 40 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling (PMI accepts hours spent in training for Microsoft Project and for other scheduling tools.)
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent),
- At least 3,500 hours spent in the specialized area of professional project scheduling within the last five consecutive years,
- At least 30 contact hours of formal education in the specialized area of project scheduling (PMI accepts hours spent in training for Microsoft Project and for other scheduling tools.)
