The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) is an intermediate-level credential for HR professionals whose work responsibilities span international boundaries. The GPHR exam is a global, competency-based assessment designed to measure the skills and knowledge of an HR professional who operates in a global marketplace. The GPHR credential is recommended for professionals whose HR responsibilities include developing HR policies and initiatives that support organizational global growth and employer retention, and creating organizational programs, utilizing tools and designing processes that achieve worldwide business goals. Candidates must have two years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with a master's degree or higher; or three years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with a bachelor's degree; or four years of demonstrated global professional HR experience with less than a bachelor’s degree. Candidates must also pass an examination.

Education and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of global experience in a professional-level HR position with a master’s degree or higher.
Option 2:Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience (with 2 of the 3 being global HR experience) in a professional-level HR position with a bachelor’s degree.
Option 3:Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience (with 2 of the 4 being global HR experience) in a professional-level HR position with less than a bachelor’s degree.
