The Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA-I), Industrial Electronics Technician (IND) certification is an intermediate journeyman-level credential for electronics technicians. Candidates applying for the IND certification are expected to understand basic industrial electronics concepts applicable to various specialty areas of industrial electronics; Additionally, candidates must meet minimum experience requirements of at least two years working in the industry, this may include electronics training. IND candidates must be knowledgeable and have skills in the following areas: Amplifiers, Optical Wiring, Block Diagrams Schematics, Power Supplies, Test Equipment Tools, Mathematics, Computers Digital Concepts, Safety, Satellite Wireless Data, Communications, Cabling, Troubleshooting, Motors, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Software. Candidate must pass a written exam.
