The International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET), Certified Electronics Technician - Associate-Level is an entry-level certification. This certification validates the candidate's basic electronic knowledge for entry-level electronic professions. The exam covers basic electronics, math, DC and AC circuits, transistors and troubleshooting. The Associate CET is also a pre-requisite for ISCET Journeyman level certifications. Candidates must pass a written exam.

Additional considerations for the Certified Electronics Technician - Associate-Level include:
- Another way to earn the Associate CET is through the ISCET Electronic Systems Associate (ESA) program. The ESA covers DC, AC, Semi, and Digital in 4 parts. Certificates are awarded for passing each of the 4 parts. Once all 4 certificates are earned the Associate CET is awarded. For details, go to the ISCET ESA exam on the web site.
- In addition to the Associate CET, candidates might also consider the more advanced journeyman-level Certified Electronics Technician certifications. To attain journeyman level certification, candidates must pass the Associate CET exam plus one or more of the specialized Journeyman options. For more information go to the ISCET web site.
