The International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET), Certified Electronics Technician - Associate-Level is an entry-level certification. This certification validates the candidate's basic electronic knowledge for entry-level electronic professions. The exam covers basic electronics, math, DC and AC circuits, transistors and troubleshooting. The Associate CET is also a pre-requisite for ISCET Journeyman level certifications. Candidates must pass a written exam.

Additional considerations for the Certified Electronics Technician - Associate-Level include:
- Another way to earn the Associate CET is through the ISCET Electronic Systems Associate (ESA) program. The ESA covers DC, AC, Semi, and Digital in 4 parts. Certificates are awarded for passing each of the 4 parts. Once all 4 certificates are earned the Associate CET is awarded. For details, go to the ISCET ESA exam on the web site.
- In addition to the Associate CET, candidates might also consider the more advanced journeyman-level Certified Electronics Technician certifications.
