The exam tests applicant's hands-on troubleshooting skills and validates applicant's knowledge of basic electrical theory, magnetism, electrical safety, electronic equipment and components laws, circuits and other related subjects. Applicants have different options to meet the eligibility requirements, active duty or veteran military personnel whose rating or assignment is/was in the related field meet the eligibility requirement for BEE-DC certification.

Applicant should have completed advance training in the Direct Current (DC) discipline.
Option 2:Applicant should have at least two years of work experience in DC technician field.
Option 3:Applicant should be an active or veteran military personnel whose rating or assignment is or was in the field of direct current electronics.
Option 4:Applicant should be a college or technical school graduate with two-year degree in engineering/technology related discipline.
