These positions require a basic knowledge and understanding of one or more of the natural or social sciences, engineering, or military science, but do not demand, as a primary qualification requirement, full knowledge of the current state of the art.

The Certified Mapping Scientist, GIS/LIS certification is for professionals involved in GIS/LIS systems design and/or systems application of data base management and computer programs that allow for the utilization of spatially referenced databases for solving user analysis requirements. They are responsible for the integration of data needs and the development of correspondence between the utilization of various spatial systems of often-different generic origins that are used to solve requirements. Requirements include the following: 1) three years of experience in mapping sciences or photogrammetry in a position of responsibility demonstrating professional knowledge of and competence in mapping science and mapping procedures; 2) three years of professional experience in the Geographic or Land Information Systems, during which professional knowledge and competence in those systems were demonstrated; 3) references from four persons who are holding, or who have held, responsible positions in the mapping sciences and in the Geographic or Land Information Systems area and have first-hand knowledge of the applicants professional and personal qualifications; 4) declaration of compliance with the Code of Ethics of the ASPRS; and 5) the successful completion of a written examination.

The Certified Mapping Scientist, Remote Sensing certification is for professionals who specialize in analysis of images acquired from aircraft, satellites or ground bases, or platforms using visual or computer-assisted technology. Analysis is used by various specialized disciplines in the study of natural resources, temporal changes, and for land use planning. They develop analytical techniques and sensor systems. Candidates must have 1) three years of experience in photogrammetric and/or cartographic applications, all of which have been in a position of responsibility that demonstrated knowledge and competence in planning and application; and 2) three years of specialized experience at a professional level in remote sensing and interpretation of data from various imaging systems and/or design of remote sensing systems. Candidates must also submit references from four persons who are holding or who have held responsible positions in the mapping sciences and remote sensing and have first-hand knowledge of the applicants professional and personal qualifications, declare compliance with the Code of Ethics of the ASPRS, and successfully complete a written examination.

Certified Photogrammetrist (ASPRS). A Certified Photogrammetrist is a professional who uses photogrammetric technology to extract measurements, make maps, and interpret data from images. The Photogrammetrist is responsible for all phases of mapping and other mensuration requirements, which include planning and supervising survey activities for control, specifying photography or other imagery requirements, managing projects for mapping or other mensuration requirements and interpretation. The ASPRS Certification Program has as its purpose the establishment and maintenance of high standards of ethical conduct and professional practice among photogrammetrists, mapping scientists, and technologists. The certification is applicable to persons associated with one or more functional areas of photogrammetry and the mapping sciences, and is open to all qualified individuals who have six years of experience in photogrammetry, three years of which were in a position of professional responsibility demonstrating professional knowledge and competence. Candidates must have references from four persons who are holding, or who have held, responsible positions in photogrammetry and have first-hand knowledge of the applicant's professional and personal qualifications. Candidates must also pass a written examination.

The Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) certification is an intermediate-level credential for individuals candidates pursuing a career in cybersecurity. CCSA candidates install security gateways in distributed environments, configure rules on servers, assign permissions, schedule backups and upgrades with minimal downtime, and monitor and troubleshoot IPS and common network traffic. CCSA candidates must have basic knowledge of networking, Windows Server or UNIX skills, internet and TCP/IP experience and satisfy prerequisites. Candidates are required to pass an exam.

The Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) is an advanced certification for individuals who work in the information systems audit, control and security industry. The CISA certification covers topics such as the information systems audit process, IT governance, systems and infrastructure lifecycle management, IT service delivery and support, protection of Information Assets, and business continuity and disaster recovery. This certification is targeted toward experienced information security auditors and those who have information security management responsibilities. Candidates are required to have a minimum of five years of professional information systems audit, control, assurance or security work experience.

The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an advanced skill level certification for experienced professionals in the computer security field who are responsible for developing the information security policies, standards, and procedures and managing their implementation across an organization. To be eligible for CISSP, candidates must have five years of information security experience in at least two of the exam domain areas including security and risk management, asset security, security engineering, communications and network security, identity and access management, security assessment and testing, security operations, and software development security.

The Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) is an advanced skill level credential for professionals who lead and direct projects. Project Managers perform their duties under general supervision for the duration of a project and are responsible for all aspects of a project. PMPs lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget, and scope. Project Management Professionals seeking certification through PMI demonstrate knowledge and experience to apply a methodology to projects that have well-defined requirements and deliverables. To apply for the PMP, candidates must meet experiential and educational requirements and are required to pass the written exam.

The GIAC Security Expert (GSE) is an advanced skill level certification for top security consultants and practitioners that is targeted to those pursuing an in-depth technical education in all areas of information security. Knowledge in a particular area, Intrusion Detection or Incident Handling is both important and valuable. The GSE exam has two parts: a multiple-choice paper exam and a hands-on, performed based lab exam. Before a candidate can attempt the GSE, they must successfully complete three GIAC certifications with at least one Gold designation. There are multiple combinations of prerequisite GIAC certification that will meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, candidates must have real world, hands on experience in relevent subject areas.

The Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) is an intermediate skill level certification for individuals involved in network and systems security administration who are responsible for developing the information security policies, standards, and procedures and managing their implementation across various hardware and software programs in their organization. The SSCP is targeted toward those working towards positions such as Network Security Engineers, Security Systems Analysts, or Security Administrators. It is also appropriate for personnel in other non-security disciplines that require an understanding of security but do not have information security as a primary part of their job description, including information systems auditors; application programmers; system, network and database administrators; business unit representatives, and systems analysts. Candidates must have at least one year of systems security-related work experience.

The Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is an advanced certification for the individual who designs, builds, and manages an enterprises information security. CISM focuses on information risk management as the basis of information security. It also includes material on broader issues such as how to govern information security as well as on practical issues such as developing and managing an information security program and managing incidents. This certification is targeted toward experienced information security managers and those who have information security management responsibilities. Five or more years of information security work experience, with a minimum of three years of information security management work experience is required.

The GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) is a basic skill level certification for managers, information security officers, and system administrators who need an overview of information assurance, risk management and defense in depth techniques. The GISF is targeted toward individuals who write, implement, or must adhere to, disaster recovery or business continuity policies. GISF candidates will be able to demonstrate key concepts of information security including understanding the threats and risks to information and information resources, identifying best practices that can be used to protect them, and learning to diversify our protection strategy. The Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is an entry-level certification for project practitioners. Designed for those with less project experience, the CAPM demonstrates an understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management. The written exam covers project management areas such as initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, closing, and professional and social responsibility. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1500 hours professional experience on a project team or 23 hours of project management education.

The Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP) is an advanced skill level information security certification that is a concentration of the CISSP certification. This concentration contains deeper managerial elements such as project management, risk management, setting up and delivering a security awareness program, and managing a Business Continuity Planning program. A CISSP-ISSMP establishes, presents, and governs information security policies and procedures that are supportive to overall business goals. Typically, the CISSP-ISSMP certification holder or candidate will be responsible for constructing the framework of the information security department and define the means of supporting the group internally. Candidates must have two years of experience in information security management and hold the CISSP certification.

The CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst (CSFA) is an advanced level certification for individuals who have the ability to conduct a thorough forensic analysis using sound examination and handling procedures, and are able to communicate the results of their analysis effectively. The CSFA certification is designed for professionals who already possess practical experience in the field of digital forensics. A minimum of at least two years of experience with both the technical and administrative aspects of conducting forensic analysis is required. To become CSFA certified, applicants must pass a written and practical exam, and complete an FBI criminal background check.

The Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP) is a professional level certification for network engineers who seek to establish their expertise in enterprise Wi-Fi security. The CWSP certification will advance a candidate's career by ensuring they have the skills to successfully secure enterprise Wi-Fi networks from hackers, no matter which brand of Wi-Fi gear an organization deploys. Candidates should be able to assess the vulnerability of a network and help prevent attacks before they happen, know how to perform WLAN security audits and implement compliance solutions, and have experience setting up Wireless Intrusion Prevention Systems (WISPS). Candidates must have a current CWNA credential to take the CWSP exam.

The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce certification is targeted to individuals with advanced-level security skills and knowledge. The CASP ce exam is designed to verify an applicant’s knowledge and skill in the areas of enterprise security, risk management, research and analysis, and the integration of computing, communications, and business disciplines. Although there are no required pre-requisites, the CASP ce certification is intended to follow the CompTIA Security+ ce certification as the next step in security certifications. A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT administration with at least 5 years in hands-on technical security experience is recommended.

The GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED) is an intermediate skill level certification that builds on the security skills measured by the GIAC Certified Security Essentials certification (GSEC). Knowledge, skills and abilities assessed are taken from the areas of Defensive Network Infrastructure, Packet Analysis, Penetration Testing, Incident Handling, and Malware Removal. The Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) Strategic Planning Professional Level I certification is for candidates that wish to bring together the latest strategic thinking concepts, strategic planning techniques and Balanced Scorecard best-practices. Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy. It may also extend to control mechanisms for guiding the implementation of the strategy. Candidates must be a college graduate or have or 5 years' work experience in strategic planning or related field with a minimum of 2 years in an internal planning role or as a junior external planning consultant.

The Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) Strategic Management Professional Level II certification is for candidates who manage and use a comprehensive collection of ongoing activities and processes that organizations use to systematically coordinate and align resources and actions with mission, vision and strategy throughout an organization. Strategic management activities transform the static plan into a system that provides strategic performance feedback to decision making and enables the plan to evolve and grow as requirements and other circumstances change. Candidates must be a college graduate or have or 10 years' work experience in strategic planning or related field with a minimum of 5 as an experienced internal Executive or external Consultant leading multiple Strategic Planning assignments. Candidates must also hold a Strategic Planning Professional certification or meets all of its requirements.

INFORMS, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification advances the use of analytics by setting agreed upon standards for the profession and advances the profession by providing a means for organizations to identify and develop qualified analytics professionals, by contributing to the career success and continued competence for analytics professionals, and by improving the credibility and visibility of the analytics profession. The CAP examination measures acceptable performance across seven major areas or domains of practice that adhere to the analytics end-to-end process: business problem framing, analytics problem framing, data, methodology selection, model building, deployment, and model life cycle management. Candidates must have a minimum of a BA/BS degree and at least 7 years of professional analytics related experience.

The Project Management Institute (PMI), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) is an advanced-level certification for professionals who work with project teams, manage requirements and product development, and perform business analysis in their role as project and program managers. Earning the PMI-PBA demonstrates an ability to coordinate with stakeholders to define business requirements, lead the discovery, analysis and overall management of the requirements for a project, and apply business analysis tools and techniques to enable project success. Candidates for the PMI-PBA must meet educational, experiential and training requirements and must pass the exam.

The Informs, Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP) certification is an entry-level analytics credential for professionals who are educated in data science and analytics. The aCAP is a beginner-level program for professionals who hold a master's degree in an analytics or data science and who are committed to ethics in the practice of analytics.
