The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce certification is targeted to individuals with advanced-level security skills and knowledge. The CASP ce exam is designed to verify an applicant’s knowledge and skill in the areas of enterprise security, risk management, research and analysis, and the integration of computing, communications, and business disciplines. Although there are no required pre-requisites, the CASP ce certification is intended to follow the CompTIA Security+ ce certification as the next step in security certifications. A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT administration with at least 5 years in hands-on technical security experience is recommended.

RECERTIFICATION

CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce

Renewal Period: 3 years

The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce credential has the following recertification information:

  • Once issued, the CASP ce certification is valid for three years. The certification may be renewed through continuing education, passing the most current version of the CASP ce exam, or by earning a higher-level CompTIA certification or other approved industry certification. Additional considerations for the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) ce include:

  • It is recommended that CompTIA CASP ce applicants meet the following criteria: 

    • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT administration including at least 5 years of hands-on technical security experience
    • Hold the CompTIA Security+ ce certification
