The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, GEOINT Professional Certification Fundamentals (GPC-F) is the foundation of the GEOINT Professional Certification Program (GPC). The GPC-F is an entry-level credential. The GPC-F aims to define the common set of competencies across the National Systems of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and is an essential element of the overall development of GEOINT professionals. The GPC-F exam evaluates a candidate's knowledge of the fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of GEOINT practitioners, as well as their knowledge of the NSG. The development of the GPC is part of a larger USD(I) Initiative to professionalize the Defense Intelligence Enterprise Workforce.

Credential Pre-requisite REQUIREMENTS
For the GEOINT Professional Certification Fundamentals (GPC-F), applicants must:
- Be in Good standing as defined by his/her employing component or agency
- Meet the GPC-F certification assessment’s passing score
- Have at least one year’s experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) GEOINT agency or with GEOINT activities in a DoD component
Eligibility REQUIREMENTS
GEOINT certifications are available to all geospatial intelligence practitioners worldwide that have met the following requirements:
(1) are actively serving in a GEOINT-related work role within the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG),
(2) have gained at least one year of GEOINT-related experience while working in a Department of Defense (DoD) work role, and
(3) hold an active U.S. Government security clearance.
Candidates should refer to their certification specific (tradecraft/work role) candidate handbook for eligibility requirements such as experience, GEOINT-related education, and designation of GEOINT functions. Handbooks are available on the GPC website located on the NGANet/JWICS network at http://gpc.nga.ic.gov/resources.php or on NGA’s Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) network at https://geointel.nga.mil/gpc/ (USG Common Access Card/Certificate required).
