Certified Electronics Technician - Journeyman-Level - Radar. This is an entry-level certification exam. Technicians working in this field will have knowledge in the following areas; General knowledge of both pulse radar and continuous wave radar operation is necessary for taking this Journeyman option. This test covers transmitters and receivers, CRT display systems and their power supplies, antennas, transmission lines and their characteristics. Applicants must pass a written exam.

The Certified Electronics Technician - Journeyman-Level - Radar credential has the following recertification information:

There are four ways to achieve recertification of a Journeyman level certification:
  • Retaking the examination at the stated fee schedule
  • Taking and passing a higher level certification on the same track as the original certification
  • Taking and passing an additional journeyman level examination endorsement
  • Completing 20 continuing education units as outlined by the CEU(t) (technical continuing education unit) registration and renewal form and paying the registration fee as indicated

Additional considerations for the Certified Electronics Technician - Journeyman-Level - Radar include:

  • You can earn Associate CET through the ISCET Electronic Systems Associate (ESA) program. The ESA covers DC, AC, Semi, and Digital in 4 parts. Certificates are awarded for passing each of the 4 parts. Once all 4 certificates are earned the Associate CET is awarded. For details, go to the ISCET ESA exam on the web site.
