This series covers positions which supervise, lead, or perform inspection, investigation, enforcement, or compliance work. This series is applicable when the work of the position: - is covered by two or more administrative occupations in the General Inspection, Investigation, Enforcement, and Compliance Group, 1800, and no one occupation predominates; or - is consistent with this occupational group but not covered by an established series in the 1800 group.

The Defense Intelligence Agency PMO (DIA), Certified Collection Management Professional - Fundamental (CCMP-F) is a professional level certification that assesses collection management (CM) knowledge that is common, core, and critical to CM activities across the DCME.  By earning the CCMP-F, certification holders demonstrate knowledge that supports work in joint, multiple-intelligence discipline environments across all echelons of the DCME.  This knowledge includes a common professional lexicon, or list of professional terms and concepts, and it enables collection managers to transfer their knowledge from a job at one DCME organization to any other. The CCMP-F exam is open to any individual in the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), though most candidates come from within the DCME.  All candidates must possess an active TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance at the time of the certification assessment and must be in ‘good standing' as defined by their employing Component.

The Defense Intelligence Agency PMO (DIA), Certified Defense All-Source Analysis - I (CDASA-I) is an intermediate level credential designed for professional All-Source intelligence workers. CDASA-I recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a level of competence, through their work experience and analytic knowledge, consistent with the baseline of the profession. The analytic knowledge represents those facts, concepts, principles and tools that are appropriate for a generalist. The certification aims to support the DoD-wide initiative to professionalize the intelligence workforce. Further objectives include enhancing DoD's analytic quality by using common standards, enabling an interoperable and agile workforce, and promoting common professional development frameworks.

Renewal Period: 1 year

The Certified Manager (CM) is a general management certification. It is appropriate for supervisors, managers and leaders at all levels, in any industry, and benefits certificate recipients and their organizations. The CM program consists of 3 course modules of which each includes a study manual, online learning resources, practice exams and a certification exam. To earn the CM certification one must pass three certification exams. Successful completion of the CM exams is a reliable indicator that an individual possesses the skills that leaders and managers need. Eligibility for the CM certification is determined by a point system that considers both experience and education. A candidate must have at least 10 points including at least 3 Education points, and at least 4 Experience points. Candidates may count a maximum of 6 Education points and 7 Experience Points toward eligibility. Those who do not qualify for CM status may still participate in the CM program if they have met at least one of the minimum eligibility requirements. These individuals will earn Associate Certified Manager (ACM) status upon completion of the program. An ACM may earn full CM status through additional education and/or experience.

The National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI), Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) credential is an intermediate career-level certification recommended for legal investigators. Legal investigators assist attorneys by reviewing police reports and discovery materials, analyzing and photographing crime or accident scenes, interviewing parties and witnesses, obtaining signed or recorded statements, performing background investigations, preparing documentary and demonstrative evidence, recommending experts and testifying in court. Legal investigators must exhibit the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. The Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) certification requires various exams. Candidates must devote the majority of their practice to negligence investigations for the plaintiff, and/or criminal defense, and be employed by either a law firm or an investigative firm. Candidates must be licensed, if required, by the state in which he/she is practicing or employed. They must also have a minimum of five years verifiable related work experience.

The Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) is an advanced skill level credential for professionals who lead and direct projects. Project Managers perform their duties under general supervision for the duration of a project and are responsible for all aspects of a project. PMPs lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget, and scope. Project Management Professionals seeking certification through PMI demonstrate knowledge and experience to apply a methodology to projects that have well-defined requirements and deliverables. To apply for the PMP, candidates must meet experiential and educational requirements and are required to pass the written exam.

The Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) certification is designed for security professionals whose primary responsibilities are to conduct investigations and who have demonstrated in-depth operational knowledge and competence in this area. Candidates wishing to take the PCI examination must first satisfy the following requirements: Complete five years of investigations experience, with at least two (2) years in case management; and earn a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The applicant must not have been convicted of any criminal offense that would reflect negatively on the security profession, ASIS, and the PCI program. Successful Completion of an examination is required for all applicants who meet the experience and/or education and responsible charge criteria. Candidates must pass the examination to achieve the PCI designation.

The Board of Certification Safety Professionals (BCSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist (OHST) candidate performs occupational health and safety activities on a part-time or full-time basis.  The candidate's job duties will include worksite assessments to determine risks, potential hazards and controls, evaluating incident and loss records, and prepparing emergency response plans.  OHST candidate must work a minimum of three years in occupational hygiene or safety at least 35% of the time, have duties that require technical skills and knowledge in occupational hygiene and safety.  Candidate must pass a written exam.

CALI's Certified Professional Investigator (CPI) Program is a recognized symbol of excellence and achievement in the investigator and security professions. The purpose of the program is to raise the professional standing of investigators and security professionals and to give special recognition to those individuals by testing knowledge about their profession. Candidates must be a licensed Private Investigator or the equivalent and have been licensed for a minimum of three consecutive years immediately preceding application to sit for the exam.

The Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is an entry-level certification for project practitioners. Designed for those with less project experience, the CAPM demonstrates an understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management. The written exam covers project management areas such as initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, closing, and professional and social responsibility. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1500 hours professional experience on a project team or 23 hours of project management education.

INFORMS, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification advances the use of analytics by setting agreed upon standards for the profession and advances the profession by providing a means for organizations to identify and develop qualified analytics professionals, by contributing to the career success and continued competence for analytics professionals, and by improving the credibility and visibility of the analytics profession. The CAP examination measures acceptable performance across seven major areas or domains of practice that adhere to the analytics end-to-end process: business problem framing, analytics problem framing, data, methodology selection, model building, deployment, and model life cycle management. Candidates must have a minimum of a BA/BS degree and at least 7 years of professional analytics related experience.

The IIA Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) is an intermediate-level internal auditor and risk management professional credential. CRMAs are responsible for and have experience in providing risk assurance, developing governance processes, delivering quality assurance or control self-assessment (CSA). Candidates for the CRMA must meet educational, experiential, and other requirements.

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), Safety Management Specialists (SMS) certification provides candidates management skills required for a business's safe operation. The SMS candidate's job duties include defining and utilizing an organization's safety management systems; risk management; incident investigation and emergency preparedness; maintaining current knowledge of safety, health and environmental (SH&E) concepts; and identifying the business case for safety. Candidates must meet the minimum work qualifications of either part-time or full-time in an occupational health or safety (at least 35% of the job tasks related to management of safety related programs, processes, procedures, and/or personnel). Candidate's must have at least ten years of experience in occupational health or safety, and pass a written exam.
