The ETA-I Fiber To The Antenna (FTTA) is a mid-level fiber optic technician credential. The FTTA standalone certification is for individuals who have been trained in the practice of installing fiber optic cabling at wireless and cellular facilities. FTTAs possess training and experience required to safely and competently install pre-terminated fiber optic transmission cable assemblies and connection devices onto equipment and antenna(s), wherever the antenna system may be located. Skills that FTTAs demonstrate include inspecting, cleaning and testing fiber plant as well as identifying and troubleshooting during and after installation.
