The CompTIA Cloud+ certification validates the skills and expertise of IT practitioners in implementing and maintaining cloud technologies. CompTIA Cloud+ covers competency in configuration and deployment, security, maintenance, management and troubleshooting. It is recommended, although not required, that candidates have 24 to 36 months of work experience in networking, storage or IT data center administration, familiarity with any major hypervisor technologies for server virtualization, knowledge of cloud service model and deployment model definition, and hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform.

CompTIA Cloud+ ce

Renewal Period: 3 years

The CompTIA Cloud+ ce credential has the following recertification information:

  • The Cloud+ ce certification is valid for three years from the date the candidate becomes certified. Please see the CompTIA website for renewal details.

Additional considerations for the CompTIA Cloud+ ce include:

  • Candidates are recommended to have the following recommended experience:
    • At least 24–36 months of work experience in IT networking, network storage or datacenter administration
    • Familiarity with any major hypervisor technologies for server virtualization, though vendor-specific certifications in virtualization are not required
    • CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Server+, though CompTIA certifications are not required
    • Knowledge of cloud service model (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) definitions
    • Knowledge of common cloud deployment model (Private, Public, Hybrid) definitions
    • Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud IaaS platform
