A Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is an entry level certification that measures actual competency via a performance-based evaluation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration skills and knowledge. Candidates must pass a realistic performance-based lab exam that evaluates his/her ability to: understand and use essential tools, operate running systems, configure local storage, create and configure file systems, deploy/configure/maintain systems, manage users and groups, and manage security. There are no education or experience requirements and training is available but not required.
