An Oracle database certification equips individuals to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and fine-tune all aspects of an Oracle database. Oracle certified database administrators keep an Oracle database environment running at maximum efficiency. The Oracle Database Administrator Professional (OCP) is the next step up in a database administrator's path that requires the passing of one or more exams as well as having to attend an instructor led course (or an online one). Candidates must have already passed the OCA exams to register for the OCP. There are no education or experience prerequisites, although it is an intermediate level certification.
