Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certified Professional

Credential: Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certified Professional
Credentialing Agency: Oracle Corporation

Renewal Period: Not Renewable

An Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 12c Database Administrator certification emphasizes the full set of skills that DBAs need in today's competitive marketplace. This intermediate certification builds upon the competencies in the Oracle Database 12c OCA certification by including the advanced knowledge and skills required of top-performing database administrators, including development and deployment of backup, recovery and Cloud computing strategies. The process of becoming Oracle Database certified broadens your knowledge and skills by exposing you to a wide array of important database features, functions and tasks. The Oracle Database Administrator Professional (OCP) is the next step up in a database administrator's path that requires the passing of one or more exams as well as having to attend an instructor led course (or an online one). Candidates must have already passed the OCA exams to register for the OCP. There are no education or experience prerequisites, although it is an intermediate level certification.

More information can be found on the certifying agency's website.
