The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), Mobile Crane Inspector certification is for individuals who inspect mobile cranes. Mobile Crane Inspector candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have at least five years of crane-related experience, meet medical requirements, and comply with NCCCO's Substance Abuse Policy and Code of Ethics. Candidates must also pass three written exams.

Education and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must demonstrate at least five years of crane-related experience. The experience shall include duties such as crane inspector, crane operator, crane mechanic/technician, and crane shop foreman.
Note: Related education may be substituted for related experience at a ratio of two years of education for one year of experience up to three years. Additional information can be found on the NCCCO website.
Other REQUIREMENTS
The Mobile Crane Inspector credential has the following other requirements:
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Candidates must be in good physical health, as verified by a medical professional, sufficient enough to handle the physical demands that crane inspections require.
- Candidates must comply with NCCCO's Substance Abuse Policy and Code of Ethics.
Current CCO-certified Mobile Crane Operators in good standing are not required to take the Mobile Crane Operator Core exam.
