The Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) is an advanced skill level information security certification that is a concentration of the CISSP certification. This concentration was developed in conjunction with the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) for systems security engineering professionals. CISSP-ISSEP is a guide for incorporating security into projects, applications, business processes, and all information systems. Security professionals may need workable methodologies and best practices that can be used to integrate security into all facets of business operations. The SSE model covered in the certification is a guide to the field of information security and the incorporation of security into all information systems. Candidates must have two years professional experience and hold the CISSP certification.

Credential Pre-requisite REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must hold the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in good standing.
Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must demonstrate 2 years of professional work experience in the area of engineering.
Other REQUIREMENTS
The Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) credential has the following other requirements:
- CISSP-ISSEPs must continue to abide by the (ISC)2 Code of Ethics.
- Anyone who passes a CISSP-ISSEP exam must have their qualifications endorsed by another (ISC2) credential holder.
- Passing candidates will be randomly selected and audited by (ISC2) Services prior to issuance of any certification. Multiple certifications may result in a candidate being audited more than once.
