The Incident Safety Officer - Fire Suppression (ISO) is a mid-level certification. Applicants applying for this certification must be a member of the Fire Department Safety Officers Association, applicants sponsored by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and individuals meeting the duties and requirements of a company officer or an Incident Scene Safety Officer. Applicants shall meet the requirements of NFPA 1521 - 2015 ed. Chapter 5 and be a member of a fire department an Emergency Services Organization with at least five years of experience.

Experience REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1521 – 2015 ed. - Chapter 5 Fire Department Officer Level 1 and be a member of fire department an Emergency Services Organization with at least 5 years experience. Skill Test
With the new NFPA Standard, the Pro Board now requires the student to complete six (6) randomly assigned Skills Sheets, along with the 100-question exam. A Pro Board certificate will not be issued until we have the Affidavit on-file.
