The Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications, Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA): Environmental Compliance certification is for candidates who can identify environmental aspects and impacts, assess compliance with environmental laws and regulations, and/or apply professional environmental compliance auditing practices. Environmental auditing is a systematic, documented evaluation of a facility, focusing on current operating and administrative procedures and processes. Candidates must have earned a 4-year post-secondary degree (or higher) or its educational equivalent and have a minimum of 4 years of general work experience. All candidates must take and pass a written exam.
