The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Distributed Generation Certified Professional (DGCP) program is designed to provide recognition for professionals who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the distributed generation field. Distributed Generation refers to the on-site generation of energy, often electricity from renewable energy systems such as solar photovoltaics (PV) and small wind turbines. DGCPs are professionals with energy engineering expertise and educational degrees that include but are not limited to science, engineering, architecture, business, law, or finance. The designation DGCP identifies individuals who have demonstrated their experience, competence, proficiency, and ethical fitness, bringing to their professional activities and knowledge to the development and management to distributed generation projects.
