Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification demonstrates that the individual meets the national standard for knowledge that underlies surgical technologist and surgical first assistance practice. Certified individuals possess mastery of a broad range of skills related to surgical procedures, aseptic technique and patient care. This is a mid- level certification and requires individuals to be a graduate of a surgical technology accredited program or hold a current or previous Certified Surgical Technologist certification.

Education and/or Training REQUIREMENTS
You must be a currently or previously Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Option 2:You must be a graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
Option 3:You must be a graduate of a military training program in surgical technology, whether it was before, during or after having CAAHEP accreditation.
Option 4:You must be a graduate of a surgical first assisting program which was CAAHEP accredited during your enrollment.
