The Construction Materials Testing: Asphalt - Level III certification program was designed for field and laboratory technicians engaged specifically in the testing and inspection of construction materials. Knowledge of engineering properties of construction materials used in buildings, roads, and related civil engineering projects and knowledge of testing specifications, standards, methods, and materials evaluation is required. Candidates must have 5 years of experience. At least three of these years must be in the testing of asphalt mixes and components and two years must be in some combination of soils, concrete, or other related construction materials testing. This certification also requires a Supervisor's verification of all work elements used to meet the exam requirement and passing a written examination.

Credential Pre-requisite REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have passed the Construction Materials Testing: Asphalt - Level I and II certification exam.
Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have 5 years of experience.
Candidates must have up to 24 months full-time experience within the 5 year period in some combination of soils, concrete, and/or other related construction materials testing.
Candidates must have at least 36 months of full-time experience within the 5 year period in the testing of asphalt mixes and components.
