The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), Certified Environmental, Safety & Health Trainer (CET) is a certification held by those with experience and expertise in developing, designing, and delivering safety, health and environmental (SH&E) training. The CET measures an individual's knowledge of the theory and practice of basic adult education and confirms knowledge and experience in the SH&E specialty area(s) in which they teach. To qualify for the CET, candidates must hold a BCSP-approved SH&E credential and meet experiential requirements pertaining to teaching or training SH&E. Candidates are also required to pass the CET exam.

Credential Pre-requisite REQUIREMENTS

Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must have completed 135 hours of training or teaching in safety, health, and environment-related areas. See the CET page for additional information.

The Certified Environmental, Safety & Health Trainer (CET) credential has the following other requirements:
- Candidates must disclose any criminal convictions, disciplinary actions, and denial or revocation of certifications, licenses and professional registrations taken against the applicant by the issuing certification board or agency. For more information see the BCSP criminal conviction policy.
- Candidates must agree to abide by the BCSP Code of Ethics.
