The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium Inc. (ISC2) - Certified Cyber Forensics Professional (CCFP) credential indicates expertise in forensics techniques and procedures, standards of practice, and legal and ethical principles to assure accurate, complete and reliable digital evidence admissible to a court of law. It also indicates the ability to apply forensics to other information security disciplines, such as e-discovery, malware analysis, or incident response. The CCFP has education and experience requirements in addition to a performance-based exam.

Education and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have a four-year college degree leading to a Baccalaureate or regional equivalent, plus three years of cumulative paid full time digital forensics or IT security experience in three of the six CCFP domains.
Option 2:
Candidates who do not hold a four-year college degree must have six years of cumulative paid full time digital forensics or IT security experience in three of the six CCFP domains. Candidates without the required degree may receive a one-year professional experience waiver for holding an alternate forensics certification on the ISC2 approved list.
Other REQUIREMENTS
The Certified Cyber Forensics Professional (CCFP) credential has the following other requirements:
- Candidates must subscribe to the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc. (ISC)2 Code of Ethics.

Anyone who passes a CISSP exam must have their qualifications endorsed by another (ISC2) credential holder.

Passing candidates will be randomly selected and audited by (ISC2) Services prior to issuance of any certification. Multiple certifications may result in a candidate being audited more than once.
