The Certified Bookkeeper (CB) credential is an intermediate level certification recommended for bookkeepers with several years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Candidates must have at least 2 years of full-time experience or the part-time or freelance equivalent, which may be obtained before or after passing the examination. All candidates must also sign a Code of Ethics.

Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must submit evidence of at least 2 years of full-time bookkeeping experience or 3,000 hours of part-time or freelance experience before or after taking the national exam.
Other REQUIREMENTS
The Certified Bookkeeper (CB) credential has the following other requirements:

AIPB administers its exams in 4-parts, 2 parts are delivered and completed electronically at any Prometric Test Center and the other two are completed in a workbook, which is then submitted to the agency.
