Education/Training and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Applicant should have completed advanced training in aviation structure discipline.
Option 2:Applicant should have at least two years of work experience in the field of aviation structures.
Option 3:Applicant should be an active or veteran military personnel whose rating or assignment is or was in the aviation structure field.
Option 4:Applicant should be a college or technical school graduate with a two-year degree in engineering/technology related discipline.
Performance Exam Requirements
Applicants will be required to demonstrate the ability to properly apply aviation structure knowledge, fabrication methods, health and safety, inspection and repair, and regulations and documentation skills as directed by a qualified CertTEC examiner. CertTEC oral and practical exams must be taken at testing sites. The agency offers many testing locations; see the CertTEC About Certifications page for a map of testing locations.
