The BACB Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is an intermediate-level certification for individuals who conduct professional behavior analysis. BCBAs are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services. In addition, BCBAs supervise the work of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, and others who implement behavior-analytic interventions.

Education and/or Experience REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for the BCBA are required to have a graduate degree from an accredited university, completion of acceptable graduate coursework in behavior analysis, education, or psychology and a defined period of supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam.

Candidates for the BCBA are required to have a graduate degree, a full-time faculty position in behavior analysis that includes research and teaching, and supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam.

Candidates for the BCBA are required to have a doctoral degree that was conferred at least 10 years ago and at least 10 years’ post-doctoral practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam.
