The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): Master on Microsoft Office 2013 credential is an advanced-level certification for candidates to demonstrate the deepest level of skills needed to proficiently use Office programs. Candidates must choose from one of three tracks: Word 2013, Excel 2013, or Traditional Office 2013 and pass the required exams for that track plus one elective exam. There are no education or experience requirements to sit for the exams.

  • This certification has no recertification requirements and cannot be renewed.  Once Microsoft determines that a certification no longer reflects the latest technology or is no longer relevant in the marketplace, it will be retired and will eventually transition to a Legacy status for certification holders. For the most current certification status, refer to the Retired certifications page.
