The International Association for Identification (IAI), Certified Crime Scene Analyst is a mid-level certification for crime investigative professionals. Crime Scene Analysts work under general supervision responding to crime scenes and perform a broad range of investigative tasks to document the crime scene including taking photographs, and recovering and processing evidence. A minimum of three years of experience in crime scene related activities is required. There are also minimum training and education requirements associated with this certification.

Education and/or Training REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 96 hours of Crime Scene Certification Board approved instruction in crime scene related courses within the last five (5) years.
